Northern & Southern Sign

Northern and Southern Astrological sign are very finely divided in the classification of Zodiac sign.

The first six Astrological sign of Zodiac, namely, Mesha, Rishaba, Mithuna, Karaka, Simha and (i.e., Aries to Virgo) are called Northern signs, as they are to north of the celestial equator (they are in the northern hemisphere). The remaining six astrological signs, that is, Tula, Vrischika, Danu, makara, kumbh and Meena (libra to pisces) are to the south of celestial Equator (in the southern hemisphere) and are so termed southern Astrological sign.
